Two short filters in ceramic mugs?” said the busy Barista clunking around with the water spout in my not so local Starbucks. I gleamed with joy.
I had just walked into the coffee shop on the third day of our visit to Singapore. After only a few interactions beforehand she remembered my order. At that moment I pondered how different that experience was compared to most interactions I have online.
In the world of startups it seems the customer’s best interest is no longer a first priority—the sale is. Anything that drives revenue is top dog, no matter if the customer isn’t a good fit.
This month on the blog I wrote about why we send prospects to competitors if we’re not a good fit. Happier people are more important to us than a quick buck.
